How We Choose Clinics

The clinic lists on Korea Skin Index are an editorial selection. Our editors choose which clinics appear on each list and decide their order. This site contains promotional content, and some of the listed clinics have a business relationship with the site's operator. See our advertising page.

What our editors check

For every clinic we read its official website and note these facts:

• Foreign-language support. Whether the clinic has an English website, and whether it says interpreters or coordinators help foreign patients.
• Location and access. The area and the nearest station and exit, as the clinic gives them.
• Specialties. The treatments and fields the clinic lists on its own site. A treatment page only includes clinics whose site names that treatment.
• Prices and opening hours. Whether prices are published online, and the opening hours, including Sundays and evenings.

Then we select the clinics and put them in order.

Where the facts come from

We start with each clinic's own website. When a site can't be read or doesn't say, we use a booking listing such as Yeoshin, Gangnam Unni or HIDOC, and the card names that listing. Every reason we give on a card links to the page it came from. This edition was checked on Oct 22, 2026.

On each card, a check mark means we found the fact. A dash means the clinic doesn't offer it, or we couldn't find it stated, and the wording says which.

What the order means

The order is our editors' choice. It is not a score: we don't give clinics points, ratings or stars, and we don't publish review scores. A clinic's place on a list doesn't mean it will give you better results, and we don't claim to have visited a clinic unless an article says so.

What 피부과 means

In Korea a clinic may only put “dermatology” (피부과) in its registered name when its head doctor is a board-certified dermatologist. We show each clinic's registered Korean name and underline that word, and the “Dermatologist-led” filter uses it.

Corrections

Clinics change prices, doctors and hours often. If something is out of date, tell us through the contact page and we will recheck it. See our editorial policy.
